Digital Literacy Program in 8 Districts of South Odisha By TPSODL

With the financial support of TPSODL one Digital Literacy Project is going on by GPSS in 8 Districts like Ganjam, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Boudh, Rayagada, Koraput, Nabarangpur and Malkanagiri District, with the Key Purposes of a Digital Literacy Project

  1. Promote Basic Digital Skills
  • Teach how to use smart phones, computers, and the internet
  • Enable typing, emailing, browsing, and using mobile apps
  • Help people access digital services independently
  1. Bridge the Digital Divide
  • Reduce inequality between urban and rural populations
  • Provide access to online education, banking, and government services
  • Empower marginalized groups (women, elderly, differently-abled)
  1. Improve Access to Government Services
  • Train citizens to use e-Governance platforms such as:
    • Online certificates
    • Digital identity services
    • Subsidy and welfare schemes
  • Encourage use of platforms like Digital India services
  1. Enhance Employment Opportunities
  • Build skills for online job searches and applications
  • Promote freelancing, digital marketing, and e-commerce
  • Support entrepreneurship through online marketplaces

  • Teach digital payments and banking tools:
    • UPI transactions
    • Mobile banking
    • Online bill payments

    • Privacy protection
